At a rest stop on the Florida Turnpike I saw some work being done. They're installing a new type of gasoline vapor recovery system. Air is pumped into the ground, then sucked back out, along with the gasoline vapor. This seems to be a more effective way of getting the pollution out of the ground. There's 10,000 gallons of fuel stored in this underground tank farm. I assume this is so they will have a enough fuel on the Turnpike if there's ever a shortage or a mass exodus from South Florida.
